A graduate of U.C.L.A.'s Master's program in Business Administration, Mr. Williams began his career as a Production Assistant at Columbia Pictures and worked his way to Managing Director Media & Entertainment, Credit Lyonnais Bank. At the bank he work on award winning films such as Platoon, Salvador, Hoosiers, The River's Edge, The Last Emperor and many more. Mr. Williams acted, as Chief Operating Officer of Orion Pictures from 1994 to 1996 overseeing the successful distribution of twelve films. Most notably Blue Sky, which earned an Academy Award for Jessica Lang. When Orion sold to MGM, Mr. Williams started Legacy Releasing. As Chairman of Legacy he oversaw the release of over 47 films including, Once Upon a Time When I Was Colored, Shiloh, Oliver Stone’s Killer, A Journal of Murder, Pippi Longstocking, The Swan Princess, Rudolph the Rednosed Raindeer and many more. He formed and acted as President of Providence Entertainment. Providence was declared the number two independent theatrical distribution company of 1999 by both the Hollywood Reporter and Variety based on the successful distribution of The Omega Code. Mr. Williams recently Executive Produced Left Behind starring Nicolas Cage, and The Letters of Mother Teresa starring Juliet Stevenson. Both films will be release by Marble Arch in fall of 2014. Mr. Williams is a member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and The Producers Guild of America.
